Kenny Chesney tonight at the sphere

So I will share a bit of humble pie for the pure entertainment of you folks..

So as any real drinker knows.. sometimes your beer or whiskey starts tasting like that guy across the bar is looking at ya wrong.

Now this isn’t that kinda story that ends up in a fight, but it is to make the point that sometimes at a half past drunk I can be an asshole.

So in my job of doing boats etc we travel all over the country.. we goto Florida key west, LOTO etc..

Now I think it’s fair that we rewind this conversation to about two weeks ago. My daughter comes to me and ask who my favorite music artist is.. I tell her that’s gonna be tough because I listen to a variety of music styles.. after much thought I say well if I had to pick one it would probably be Kenny Chesney because he kinda covers both country and island style music which are two of the A listers for me. She said that is one of her favorites as well. This kinda plants the seed of us taking her to this concert last night.

So we goto the concert and we are having a good time, and I’m drinking beers etc.. and we are watching bullshitting with the neighboring seats etc. Now they start showing Kenny on the sphere thing and it gets pretty big and I’m sitting there 😳


A couple years ago I was in a pretty empty bar with the wife.. and I met a guy named Kenny. Anyhow for whatever reason I was wasted and ended up being kinda rude to this guy. He walks off.. and one of his buddies says “that’s Kenny chesney”. I said bullshit.. point in fact I know what Kenny looks like. (Which I didn’t).

Well as I’m sitting there looking at the screen last night.. guess who that guy was. 😳

You guessed it. It turns out his buddy wasn’t lying.

KC was the headliner at Stagecoach the year I went.

They make the mistake of putting Kid Rock on just before him...

When KC, came out, and this is no bullshit...

A good eighty percent of the crowd got up and left. He probably ended up playing to maybe the first twenty rows of people.

My group all looked at each other and we packed up our shit and left too.

The moral of the story?

I don't care Who the fuck you are, you'll never be able to follow UP Kid Rock!!! 🤣
 
^^^^^ Kenny has is hard core fans, very hard core, Stagecoach crowd is a bit young now for him, I think you need to be near 60 yrs old to appreciate Kenny (haha). To me he is just another Jimmy Buffet.............Buffet fans are very hard core as well, at least used to be.

Kid Rock is so good, fun to watch.

I'm 67.

I've seen Kid Rock in concert maybe four times.

I saw Kenny Chesney for maybe 2 songs before I got up and left?

🤷‍♂️😜

Don't get me wrong, I do like KC...

But just like trying to listen to Jimmy Buffett, after you were all pumped up on Kid Rock...

It just didn't work at all! 🤣
