Kawasaki released the Teryx 4 H2 today! 250HP

Have the opportunity to add some goodies to this thing. Pretty impressive build quality. Steel under belly and steel plate for the inner front fender wells vs plastic like all the others.
I’m told the cars are not very accessory wiring friendly like the others. Looks like your having to pull allot of the interior to run wires. And being the skids are partially metal, you can’t pull the skids and work from underneath to run wires.

How much time & effort is it to pull the interior plastics?

Very true on no access from below like a Rzr. Canam likes their rivets underneath about an hour to tear down if I had to do it again. Their “bus” bar below the Garmin navigation is hardly like a newer Rzr or canam. The ground and constant are 12awg at best and the accessory is 18awg. Under the plastic side rocker panels, these is steel plating giving it a boat side rocker. Very nice imo. I was able to carefully snake the radio antenna along the passenger side to keep it away from the power run down the center to the battery.

PCI’s mounting solution for a radio, intercom and still keeping some switches. They had to lift the Garmin about 2 inches from what it looks like.

Here is a Chupa update. He’s getting ready to do a 400 mile desert ride with the H2. This should give him and us a good idea of the car overall and reliability.

He talks about wheel sizes, and mentions that the rear axles right & left have two different part #’s, which is odd. If correct that’s stupid & sucks that one axle can’t be used for both sides like every other UTV. I’m also hearing these OEM axles are ridiculously expensive! But hopefully aftermarket axles will be available soon.

Japanese axles are almost always expensive. They're usually very high quality at least.

Other than the R and L are different length, can't think of much else on why they'd be different part #s other than pre-stressing (maybe that explains the cost?). I assume this will get solved eventually.

One spins clockwise the other counter-clockwise....duh!

I think the Rugged Radio mounting set up is a little cleaner in that the intercom is tucked away. Raising the GPS 2" inches should not be a big deal. I like the XTC switch set up that runs all you accessories so you do not have a bunch of switches.

I am surprised Kawi did not run a bigger gauge wire to that bus bar. The Pro R set up from Polaris makes wiring a breeze.

A couple more pics. Week 3 of waiting for a TMW front bumper (horrible customer service) anyhoot

Nikal I opted for the switch pros radio mount as I did not want to compromise the clean look and bezel that surrounds the garmin navigation by raising it with the pci mount

I like Rugged’s too, except for the fact someone like me who already has a radio & intercom, now has to go by another stupid and expensive intercom, so it can get mounted behind the dash and run off the switch!

This is what happens when you think your new car is coming two years ago! 😆

Any clue how big the stator is on the Kawi? That Baja Design light bar has to suck up a lot of amperage.

I have not seen that one yet. That’s by far the best set up and what I was thinking wouid want to do by putting the intercom down below. Thanks for sharing. Had no idea switch pros was building mounts.

I know Stayflush is working on Something too!

I'm not positive (don't quote me here...please :ROFLMAO:) BUT.........I think the only difference in the rear axles is how the castle nuts are threaded (one is reverse thread). Its a Kawie thing. Same with the KRX.

BUT...I could be wrong. It could be a length thing because one side of the trans is wider than the other..........but I'm betting its the Kawie reverse thread thing. I can find out for sure when I get to play with ours.

Thanks for the possible answer. I hope Super ATV will be building axles for the H2, so the expensive OEM is not the only option for axles. And I really hope Kawi did not do two different lengths, making them position specific. That would be just stupid!

I’d assume since every other brand does standard right hand threads for the stub axle nut that you could too and it would be fine, especially if it’s got a cotter key or some sort of locking device.

I sure hope it is just a thread issue and not different lengths. Who wants to have to carry two rear axles on a long multiday Baja or desert adventure.

Something I meant to share & post. If you go to Kawasaki.com you can see diagrams and part numbers of all the parts of the H2. They don’t list pricing, but I’m sure sites like Partzilla will have the OEM parts & pricing section for the H2 by the end of the year I’d guess?

But here is the link to the Kawasaki parts diagrams.
