It's Saturday June 21st 2025.. What is everyone doing this weekend?

Finish Detailing the toy hauler and getting it ready for the beach (amazing how much glamis sand we stack up inside these things) - Lots of little fixes and caulk and touch up to do.....couple new replacement stripes on exterior. Gonna make it look nice again the way it should be!........Then organizing the cargo trailer and setting aside all the extra chit thats not needed and putting it all in the yard sale bin.......

went thru and lubed up all my tie down straps (thanks @Stugots ) for the extras you gave me and burnt new ends on them.......... going thru and replacing missing tools and dialing in the toolbox............LOTS of getting rid of junk - making space - ripping RC car5s in between and trying to make what we have all like new again.........Simplifying Life and getting rid of Clutter !

The ATC 70 addiction and RC Car Addiction are tough to get rid of....Love to keep that stuff - feel like those people on Hoaders that always say "NOPE - That stays.....can't get rid of that!!!! when it comes to 70s and RC cars.......Thats a big hurdle for me !!)

May hit the gun show and check things out.....Just Busy and getting chit done.

Be safe out there fellow Duners!!!!! summer is in full swing !!!! Lots of drunk toiurists causing cahos on the roads!

Went for a MTB ride this morning for the first time in nearly 3 years. Hit the trail at 6:45am and was back home by 10:45am. Got in close to 20 miles and 2300 feet of elevation gain. The effort paled in comparison to the work I've put in the gym. I was not once fatigued. Felt great. In about 10 minutes, I'm going to wipe down and add a coat of paint to the deck top railing. Then watch the UFC prelims + main event. mThis evening, start to assemble the new trampoline and mark where I need to trench to level the trampoline.

Sunday: Float down the river 2-3x times.

Fished 15 hours straight on Wednesday, I'm still recovering and need to get us ready for our trip to June Lake next week.. Why does it seem like everything is such a monumental task as I get older?

Spent 3 hours washing the road grime off the truck and now off to the monthly Union meeting to polar the demise of America. Then hide from that big ball of fire in the sky. Tomorrow replace suspension under a buddy’s travel trailer.

Well we have lived in our retirement home for 14 years ( but I’m not close to retirement) my wife has only used this fancy jacuzzi tub and handful of times she uses another tub in the house cause she likes to just soak. Her complaint is this tub is just too big. Takes too much water to fill and the step over to get in is uncomfortably a long stretch for a 5’4” lady. So it’s coming out ( it’s for sale cheap) and we are going to install a Kohler soaker tub. Super deep, has special heating pad built into the slanted back rest and because it’s way more narrow we will build in a few steps and even custom made SS handrails for not slipping.
Then going to fix an inlet tube/filter on a neighbors Bobcat T650. Then going to go on a date with the Queen

Just chillin today. But I might tackle an item or two on my MoHo “To Do” list tomorrow.

I went to the Grocery store.. Went and Got 30 gallons of Fuel to fill up the Moho Before the July 1st Price Hike they say.."who knows" but did it anyway. Changed the Oil on my other diesel truck "4gallons" and then washed it and got it ready for its next adventure.. Been extra sick all week with stomach issues as many of you know I have bad stomach issues I take meds for but seems this week not even my meds kept anything inside of me so that and NO sleep has been kicking my ass..Now for the inside the House chores like sweeping and Mopping and dusting all that fun crap..

Friend's wedding last night on Cornado Island - and headed to his reception later this afternoon.

Checked out the elk while I drank my morning coffee.
Wife got home early a.m. from visiting her dying grandpa for the last week. She was up early chatting.
Taking apart my sons machine. He ran out of talent and tossed it last weekend. Apparently my daughters machine is tweeked to from her getoff a couple weekends ago.
Dinkin around with a pop up that was given to me almost 10 years ago. Got to figure out what to do with it.
Cocktails and carney for dinner.

Prepping bikes and tinkering on the toy hauler tomorrow. Have alot to get ready for Taylor Park Co. For the 4th.20250621_164015.jpg20250621_163916.jpg20250620_071243.jpg20250620_071259.jpg20250621_124732.jpg

well you asked...............
get a call yesterday my mom fell in the garage, and my sister saw her on the camera laying in the door way. My dad had gone to give blood, he's 85 and she's 83, and broke her femur close to the hip (or something like that). meet them at ER and she has emergency surgery to get a metal rod inserted.
I don't see eye to eye with her, and don't see her often, but do see my dad multiple times a week.
I go see her today this am, when I got done with some jobs I needed to do, she was out of it to say the least. stayed about an hour and left.
about 230 I get a phone call from my sister saying shes not responsive, I needed to get there quick. I honestly had told myself I give her 6 months, as I don't see her doing anything PT related, just sitting in her chair rotting her brain to 'the view'. I walk in, she's out, and looks rough, so I remove myself to the hall. Of course my sister calls every tom dick and harry we haven't seen in 20 years, so its like a family reunion of people I don't really care to see. For hours they can't figure out what's wrong with her. Dr's, nurses, etc. CAT scan shows she had a mini stroke "at some point in her life", but not today.
then they decide she may be non responsive because the pain was so much, plus she lost blood during surgery, etc.
So I'm expecting the worst, family expects the worst, then I chit you not, someone says TRUMP and she makes a noise. Odd, says it again, she makes a noise.
She is hispanic, and isn't happy with the ice stuff currently. Anyways, in about 20 mins, her eyes open wide and she says I heard all the stories you guys have been telling all this time!
When I left she was sitting up eating a freaking enchilada someone smuggled in, and by the time I got downstairs someone called my brother in law and said can you go get her another one? she's really hungry lol. Craziest thing i've seen, from arm dropping, no eye movement, no nothing, to in 3 hours or so eating an enchilada and talking like she hasn't done in a long long time.
