The only problem is those programs were funded by taxpayer dollars.

Is it just me, or shouldn't the mexican people protest in English so the people who make decisions and the general public can understand them.

A mexican field worker protest is like a alphabet people protest, move along, nothing to see here.

Also, ALL MERICANS or want to be Americans need to have English as a 1st language!!

If you have been here 10 years, you should have applied for resident status and speak English.

I learned Spanish but did not need to.....started with the bad words and worked my way up.

FYI, English is the language that all pilots have to use to communicate around the world.

I learned Spanish so I could talk to the (I-9 compromised) ladies at Western CNC when I was there. Out of 15 women, only ONE wanted to learn English and USE IT. She was also the only one actively working for her Citizenship and a better job. One out of fifteen!

This meant, she was the only one I actually took on Dates... until I found out she didn't want kids (Bye, Senorita!).

Mom was a foreigner. When she first came here, she was in process to get a driver's license but her English wasn't awesome. Helpful lady at the DMV asked if she wanted to take the permit test in Korean.

You moved to America. You should want to be an American. We seem to have lost that aspect of immigration. It shouldn't be a Mexican or Italian or Iraqi or Korean living in America, it should be a Mexican or Italian or Iraqi or Korean becoming an American. You left that place for a reason. Move here, become us, leave that place behind and thrive here because you chose to be here.
 
I find it very interesting that undocumented works are striking, let me know how that would work out in the country you came from?

ILLEGAL is a sick bird, unlawful is against the law, that was drilled into my head by a SGT in my first couple of years of LEO. He was stuck on it because a judge ripped his ass about the use of these 2 words and so shit rolls down to the FNG.
