If you weee gonna buy a new dually what would ya get?

This ^^
Just get some different wheels that don't make you look like a Detroit baller and it'll look like a whole different truck.
Then find out when the next space launch is and show up asking if they got room for those things in one of them outer space dumpsters. Once they see em they'll understand.

I love my wheels and tires.. lol.

Had a couple guys buy the same pkg here in town because they like them as well.

I love looking at the new trucks but my 2013 LTZ crew cab 2500 HD does everything for me and has 297k of trouble free miles. I’m just going to keep mine too as I only drive it about 5k a year

Haven’t seen that before I’ll look into it

There are also plug and play solutions from companies:

As someone that's been in the industry for 34 years now, I wouldn't put this junk in anything I own. These components have a pretty good history of being problematic, in various ways. If someone likes constantly dealing with connectivity issues and overall bad performance... by all means, go for it. I personally like to install and move on with life.

My truck stereo is pretty much part of the truck.. I don’t think you are changing it.

It controls a ltruck t of the functions of the truck from the touch screen?

Kenwood has a separate control unit, that for sure integrates your steering wheel buttons into the unit.

I didn't do any research on it, as I don't have anything like that on my old dinosaur.

Maybe call Bills guy at Al & Ed's? Dallas was who he told me to talk to.

Yeah, that was the wrong one.

This company sells genuine Ford Sync3 upgrades, so you get the newer stereo doodads in your older truck.

That being said: it’s not all seamless. None of it. OEM installed from the factory Sync3 in the Wife’s ‘22 F-150 needs resetting every now and then. The Alpine CarPlay unit I slammed in the Jeep fucks right off on occasion as well. IT shit sucks and doesn’t always work.

104k miles on 10 year old truck?

There is nothing to fix there IMHO.

Sadly: the newer (2008 or so and newer, depending on manufacturer) stuff needs a CANBUS module for all of that functionality. It’s no longer contact closure on switches with this shit now. There’s literally a network rolling around in every car…

Which is why:

1. Dealers can’t figure out how to fix your glitch
2. There are a gazillion “CTRL+ALT+DEL” instances in new cars. It’s maddening.
