Glamisdunes.com SOLD!!

I like the alliances/friendships I see being built the past couple weeks, partnering with Advocacy Orgs, New Vendors and Event planners, great to see mutual postings here and on IG.

Collaboration in the Dune community is a great tool to reach more folks.
 
I would like to see the site get back to a focus on all things about dunes, sand cars, SxS, trailers, RV's, etc. I have benefitted from lots of great input on these subjects here and hope to continue to do so and give back. But frankly, the amount of political bs being posted and even blatant racist crap is a bit much lately. I could care less what your affiliations are, to each his own. And it's easy enough to just ignore it for the most part. But there are plenty of other places and sites that are specifically designed for those types of posts and discussions. I can't help but wonder how many potential members and contributors are turned off by the volume of these posts and not engaging. Just my $.02 and all I have to say about that.

I don't know what came first, the political posting or loss of views but 6 months ago I would log in and there would be nothing to see... This place seemed to be dying and the political posts were the only thing keeping the camaraderie and engagement going..
It does get to be a bit much at times, that I agree with.

While you DO have a valid point as a site user, most of the best times this site has been through was during the political turmoil that was the Bush administration and all of the ensuing conversations built around the early 2000's. That point in time had by far the most Political topics and this site and gatherings grew without any (real) acknowledgement of those differing views/and or need to not participate in any of it. It was probably an integral part of this site's overall growth, to be honest (Top 3 topics: Sandrail HELOC Build threads, Shawn and his GlamisWarrior sales and the Bush family).
 
Political discussions and government politics were in a forum of their own. "Politically incorrect" Mods and admin were busy policing and moving topics to that form as they popped up in gen chat. There will always be strong opinions re politics and that can be shared here. It will not be in gen chat and will have limited exposure to the "whats new" link
