You may encounter some slow loading of the site and tough times uploading images. We are working on it. Its a BOT swarming issue. These BOTs are overloading the site/servers. Working with Cloudfare to block some of this. Good chance some of you will receive a cloudfare verification to check the box when it gets implemented. Some may not. I imagine some/many VPN users may get the must verify notification.

We had over 65K bots this morning just before 8am. Site handled well at 45K but started slowing around 50K (guest bots)

Ill add to this. Being an open site and open source, it leads to this influx. The pro's of it is we are sourced for info. Google 2007 Dune Chaser and my post is 2nd in line. People search for Glamis related stuff ex: where to buy a permit for Glamis and GD is on the list. This brings guests, creates membership and supports what we do. The more we input the better.
The con's, spam, work for mods and now these crawlers and Bots. This I imagine will continue to be work for us.

Some of my recent topics may seem unimportant or unnecessary as we may know all this info, but it is important and necessary for today and tomorrows duners. We can be one of the biggest sources of current and correct information.

Yeah, when they use the common email accounts they will get in. Cant block gmail, yahoo, aol, hotmail etc.............
There are spam filters in place that hold them so the admin and mods can approve or deny membership. We groom those daily.
