Cummins 8.9 ISL 400/1200. What do you guys consider to hot for coolant temps.

This rig always ran cool on my trips into town to pick up some fish sticks, what’s all the hubbub!
I like the muffler, I was going to put an angled exhaust pipe to help steer the exhaust up and back to keep the dust down at low speed on dirt in campgrounds, the dust is right in front of the radiator
I was thinking about trying to make some sort of shield to stop the fan from kicking dirt up.

No wonder this thing makes its own haboob going down a dirt road. Holy crap what were they thinking. Those fan blades hang out of the shroud inch and a half.

I just got back from St Anthony.

I have a '11 43' American Coach Tag towing a heavy stacker. In the hotter 100+ degree times of the drive trip I would get around 220 on the large grades. If I really watched the RPM's I could stay around 215-217. Normal flat was around 190-200, down hill around 180. It would cool quickly after reaching peak once we hit the downhill. Overall coach ran great, always sluggish down to 35 mph on the steep grades, thought about a tuner many times but it ain't worth it to me, keep it stock. Plus the Allison 3000 is only good to 500hp but as far as torque, it's only rated for the 1250 ft/lb that it already has.

Towing my Jeep is a different story as far as grade speeds and temps. Again the stacker is a beast (I did beef up the 15K hitch when I bought it 4 years ago).
