Right vs. Left has absolutely nothing to do with a specific government system. It has to do with keeping things the same (right, conservatism) or enacting change (left, progressivism). Since we are a Constitutional Republic, any change from that (Communism, Fascism, Socialism) would be a Left ideal.The problem is the "google" definition of Nazi and fascism. Both start out by claiming it's "far right ideology" which we know is complete bullshit.
Unfortunately, Academia has added shit to the Political Horseshoe that makes it appear that Nazis and conservatives have something in common, which in this country they absolutely do not. The Founding Fathers ranged between a Republic and Libertarianism:

Which is on the opposite side of the political spectrum as Fascism. What's amusing is Communism is close to Fascism (probably why they hate each other so much) and Socialism and Nazism attempt to accomplish similar means via different ends.
