any AZ pool pros out there? Cartridge filter housing cracked

Hayword 8 cartridge filter housing model C7020STAMB has done us well for 21 years. The base cracked last year, and Shasta lifetime warranty replaced it for $70. Now they say it's no longer available and I have to purchase and pay them to install a new style.

Since I'm laying out $1500, is there anything new in pool filtration I should go to and get me another 20 years?

22k gallon pool.
I was in the same situation with Shasta August 2024. Back then they charged us $1,015 for the 520cc system and kept it on the Lifetime Warranty. System is 4 cartridges as opposed to 8. It works as it should and back up cartridges are less money and less time consuming to clean.

Go talk to the old guys at B&B pools on Baseline & McClintock across from Target right behind Senior Taco. I find those guys to be very helpful.

Lifetime warranty seems to be not my lifetime, as they want about the same to replace mine under warranty. If its a lifetime warranty and parts are no longer available then i believe they should provide a new one and just charge me their stupid $70 service fee. I have to dig out my contract when we had it built 20 years ago and see what it says about the warranty.

I agree 100%. I'm happy they've warrantied my pool as long as they have. When Leslie's took over I thought the end was near.

Lifetime warranty is never your lifetime, it is the lifetime of the product, determine by them. They still control the end result, sucks but reality.
