Amplified performamce mid engine project

Looks great….. but
My SU Sand Pro 2 mid engine had the radiator in a very similar position as your car. I didn’t enclose the front or put in a windshield because it would reduce air flow to the radiator. I thought about enclosing it and running some ducting down the inside of each side panel but ended up selling the car.
My current mid engine car has an enclosed front but the radiator is behind the engine over the transaxle.

I am with Fog, hood and windshield will drastically decrease air flow over the radiator. I took my windshield off my 2 seate. My main issue was the smell of exhaust, smell of gas, engine blow by fumes and I would get a huge wave of hot air that would hit the back of my neck and head from the radiator. Basically the air was swirling or moving forward in the cab. It got old quick. Easy solution was ditch the windshield.

Not saying you are guaranteed issues but be prepared with some solutions if you do.

Had that issue with my other mid engine. Put a kick is the rear of the roof and that helped with the sand coming in from behind you. Also put a larger radiator in it. With the windshield behind the seats in the SU car I was thinking the fans were doing all the work. Doesn't sound like thats the case. How big was the radiator and fans. The amplified has a 19 by 31 I believe.

It looks like you have perforated flooring in your car...FWIW I met someone in the dunes and he swore that was the main reason he didnt have cooling issues with a mid=engine, with a windshield, with a low mount radiator like yours.

Its the first time having a perforated floor. Hope it helps with keeping the cab cool. Also plan to have a small door in the very front panels that can be opened or closed.

I had a four seat Amplified with a enclosed front end and windshield. Never had a cooling issue even with it being hot out. But of course it was a four seat rear engine but the radiator was behind the rear seat.
