After 54 years I am done.

Been riding two wheelers for 54 years and my last one just drove away on a truck. A little bit sad. Some of the best times in my life were on two wheels

52 now been riding since 4 and still ride. Slowed down for atleast 10 years though and I definitely don’t push it anymore. Been a cr500 since 2008 and last year been back on it more

49 and still riding street/dirt. Definitely slowed down in the last couple of years. I Broke my tibia 2 years ago, 3 nights in hospital, surgery, rehab to walk etc....that accident made me realize I heal slow now but not letting that stop me. bike is in shop getting complete rebuild as I type. I Will definitely be riding till I physically can't.

62 and ride daily. my new 2023 KTM 1290 Super duke GT has 36,000 miles on it in 1.75 years!
i probably drive faster than i should, still love wheelies, and i have an incredible last 10 mile road to my house that never gets old
cold, rain heat--it doesn't matter

cant wait for the brand new 2025 1390 Super duke coming out this spring with variable cam lift and 190 HP! and torque at 104!

I remember watching my 86 2 Fiddy R three wheeler being loaded up and driven away. It bit me in Ocotillo.
As you get older you start appreciating the concept of having fun AND having a functional body to allow you to have fun.
Growing up we all played football, I stopped after my freshman year in high school. My buddies kept playing ball through high school (including alumni games) and Junior college. Most of them are moderately too severely effed up now with limited mobility, it’s not pretty.
Find a middle ground between sliding into home plate used up and crawling into 3rd base when all is said and done.

It was hard letting my KTM go, but after losing my best friend, I just couldn't do it anymore. I remember the times fondly, but also have my RZR for the rush.

They can take the bike, but they can't take away your memories...
I miss riding as well. But like the saying goes, with age comes a cage and I still have as big a smile on my face.
I also miss surfing, but there just came a time when I couldn't put in the time to stay at a level I was at, so I kind of retired from that too. Still have my board, but it catches more dust than waves!

I am 57 yrs old, rode in Kennedy Meadows in September, crashed and broke my finger and messed up my thumb as well. I still have zero hand strength. It was struggle bus for me. I have been riding for over 50 years so it is tough to say I am done. I am bummed, but not worth it anymore. I think I am officially done on two wheels in the dirt.
