How much solar did you put on your roof? Sounds really fast for a morning recharge. Also should not have depleted to 8% overnight unless the batteries were not full when you started, or you were running other loads.

Finally got the car sorted enough to rip the dunes. Changed the springs on the front shocks and adjusted the settings, and installed a new radiator as the old one was leaking pretty badly. Needs more HP, but rides and handles like a dream.

What you said is all true, but you are neglecting the exit losses of a submerged fitting vs free flowing into air.

I almost got caught up in that shotgun start race from Olds to Swingset. Cant believe they got a permit for a race like that with no closed course. Was at Swingset and came over the top of Olds from the south side just as that race started. Saw a guy on a bike and a quad in the middle of that...

Glad you are ok! Being part of a fast group, I always worry about missing something at speed and having that exact same thing happen. We had a guy break his back in two places on a similar type gap and dead stop hit. No paralysis, but he quit the dunes not wanting a repeat.
