Back in the day, (1950s) I tried to enter the aircraft mechanic business.
Young and tender, the only shift was "Swing". Turns out, the "Swing" shift
was not a sexy as I thought. ( :love: ) The unions controlled what happened
due to solid contracts. So when Christmas vacation came around, the
new guys were laid off to avoid paying them. (as in Me)
Repeat three times before I decided it was not for me.
