It's Sept 19th 2025.. What is everyone doing this weekend?

Friday, Wife and I drove to Pala for a concert, hang with frineds, have ice cold delicious beverages. We got a free room at Embassy Suites in Temecula.
Saturday Left Temecula at 6:15 am back home at 7:30 am (Effing shut the connector from the 15 N to the 91 W just as we approached!!! EFF), at home did some work, got smog check on my wife's car, then got it washed, took my truck to get washed, now doing more work. This evening will be dinner at Mastros in Costa Mesa.
Sunday, SSSS then birthday party for my wife's cousin, hopefully watch some football maybe SMX finals????

N
Bactine for me, and similar feeling.

Stuff the doc used was pretty decent.

I remember something called methiolaid? Or something like that? That shit was like liquid fire!!! 🔥

I used hydrogen peroxide when it was actually MY choice. Sheesh.

got awaken to an emergency call from my roofing contractor on a shopping center. they tore off slate and were replacing with shingles. company calls and said hey you are on acct hold, bill hasn't been paid, we cant release the truck. (Now keep in mind its not his acct, my owners thought the GC pay from the insurance claim was way to much so WE (meaning me) can do it, so they opened an acct and failed to make previous payment, which they say was paid in full but who knows).
So here we are with 17 man crew standing around and rain coming in. Original plan was to be off the center by 12 noon.
So we have to pivot, roofing contractor calls in a favor from srs and they have what we need, send a guy up load them out and we get started about noon. 66 squares and they got done about 7pm. didn't stop for lunch only bathroom breaks when needed.
we were expecting rain by 6pm but when we saw it was going to miss us they slowed down a little. cleaned up and headed to next job.
They worked from about 7pm until 3am night before, back up at 7am to no materials, I delivered synthetic felt to them by 830 and then they waited.
long day and i was beat and all i did was pick up 100s of nails and stand in the sun. I really don't know how these guys do these jobs.

Went to SSSS on Friday night, left early to go get a midi excavator unstuck on side of a hill with 30foot drop off a few feet away. if this wasn't my excavator i would have charged $1000 to get it out scared the crap out of me, i was way past 45 deg in two directions and pushing on some bolders 10 feet away to not fall down and die.

Sat woke up at 4am to go to a rental in Victorville to pour 3.25 yards (the finisher surprised me and needed to do it a week early)

truck overheated 40 miles from home, had an EGR cooler hose break (303k miles) she's been good to me. got it to a friends house with mini x in tow and used his truck to get home.

Sunday went to church, then drove to OC to see a baptism of my sons friend from our old neighborhood. i would have never guessed, he's 39 years old now
then went to put a band aide on my truck just to get everything home.

Long weekend, now I can rest mon-friday at work! phew

SSSS allllll weekend. Good catching up with a bunch of folks! Sore and tired. Glad it's over but I can't complain too much. I'm extremely fortunate to have selfless partners and volunteers that volunteered their time who are also sore and tired, none of what we do happens without them. As is always the case, it was the wife's bday and she got to spend it working all weekend.

how does a scooter tire pop? was it bald? i just had my rear tire pop on my 1290 super duke at 80 on the freeway, sounded like a gunshot. yes it was close bald when it happened--looks like only a flesh wound....heal quick
Haven't looked at it. Assume it was a large puncture running over something. Felt a bit of a wobble right before I went down, then it debeaded and the tire folded into the rear swing arm and I was a passenger.

It was good to see you.

I was going to talk to you about your Storage situation, but forgot. April is still asking if you need it.

Friday: Left work at 1:00 like a usual Friday, headed up to the SSSS and met Dave... saw Erik, Brian and Christine. Had no idea who everyone else was at the Glamis Veterans booth.

Saturday: Detailed the neighbors Lexus. Wash, windows, interior wipe down, cleaned the Leather, vacuumed, Dressed the tires and threw on a Griots Spray Ceramic coating. Owner gave me a hug and a $100 tip for being a "Really Good Car Washer".

Sunday: Vista Viking Festival. Swedish Meatballs, Garlic Grilled Cheese, females dressed appropriately for the "times"... what a great event. Walking distance from the In Laws and the kiddo loved it. I made sure she left with a handmade sword, which the dogs did not appreciate later in the evening.

I met my goal of 45,000 steps for the weekend... trying to catch up with the Amish folks!
