Should I bring the tow truck and make some money? I will sit 5 miles into the ride!81 cars going on the Speed ride tomorrow. That’s pretty cool.
By Brother in Law was on the Parker AZ Arctic Cat XXtraviganza ride last weekend and they had 38ish XX’s and a few Speeds on that ride.
It’s easy for us that decided against making the deposit years ago to say we dodged a bullet. To watch this shat show unravel used to be fun for me. Mainly to watch the RG nut swingers eat crow. Now my feelings have turned. I really feel for all who took this venture and are watching the collapse. They have a ton of money wrapped up into a toy or “ race car “ that may not be worth crap in a couple more years. If Speed doesn’t get their crap together it will fall. The car that was once supposed to be ahead of the curve when delivered is now leaps and bounds behind.
I read that as "laps" and bounds the first time I saw it. Which may be more appropriate?is now leaps and bounds behind.
Haven't been paying a huge amount of attention to deliveries. Did you get yours yet?81 cars going on the Speed ride tomorrow. That’s pretty cool.

Might be the feather that broke the camels backJust read there is a 46% Tariff on imports from Vietnam. That is a big hit Speed will have to take on those cars they still have to deliver.
Yeah tough position for Speed to be in that’s for sure. Not sure if it’s 46% across the board or if different industries and tariff codes will have different tariff percentages? It has been teared like that before. I’m not sure how Speed can absorb that, without having to add a tariff charge on its cars & parts. But then who’s going to want to buy it?
In the WSJ a couple weeks ago there was an article with Polaris and it said while it’s reduced its some of its Asia suppliers, Polaris is still spending $500 million dollars with Asian suppliers. Polaris said they will probably have to add some sort of surcharge on its vehicles & parts to absorb the increased costs. Same deal as Speed, how many are not going to want to pay a surcharge fee to buy a Polaris? Polaris & Can Am have been down double digit each quarter for the last two years.
BRP looks to have a rough road ahead too. Like Polaris, their sales have been way down since Covid ended. They have a corp office in Texas, and a few manufacturing facilities in the USA, but I believe it’s mostly for its marine divisions. I think Rotax has a plant in NC? But all its off road vehicles is manufactured in Mexico. No idea how much they bring in from Asia to Mexico? I think the majority of its snow machines are still built in Canada with some maybe built in Minnesota?
It will be interesting to see if the new Kawasaki, CFMoto & Segway that are slated to be release by September, get delayed to release? The Kawasaki KRX is built in Nebraska, but who knows how much of the parts are from outside the U.S.? CFMoto is to be manufactured in Mexico, near Polaris, Can Am & Hisun facility’s. But there is still Mexico tariffs on top of bring parts in from Asia. And Segway Powersports is designed in the U.S. and China, but built completely in Asia. I could totally see the Super Villain release being put on hold.
Well I guess the tariffs are not slowing CFMoto from releasing new models. CFMoto just released their new U10 inclosed cab hvac model. The U10 XL Pro Highland is $18K less than Polaris’s Ranger XD Northstar model. Looking at some specs, the Ranger XL beats the U10 in several categories, but for the price difference? Those differences might not matter to those who are buyers of this type of machine.
