What business would you start?

Pocatello is hit and miss for huge amounts of snow and like most cities up here has plenty of snow removal people.
You may want to look at something connected to home solar systems.

Good friend (electrician) started solar in so cal a decade ago (still doing it) and said this:
———————————————
Each state has totally different utility conditions, laws, incentives, and solar production values

I’m not familiar with Idaho

Solar is a volatile industry and definitely NOT easy
—————————————-

so not sure I wanna fall into this. Plus I’m a Dave Ramsey guy and seems on the sales side it would be convincing people to have payments. But I know with all the residential going in they’re gonna want it….

Idaho currently has deal subsidized by Rocky Mountain Power.
You’d be convincing people that generating their own energy is in their best interests.
Most well paying professions aren’t easy.
Being a professional pressure washer in Pocatello is like being a gynecologist and applying for the job of head coach for a boy’s wrestling team.

The killer business and is booming is the Mortuary Biz, more people are dying everyday

One thing with Solar, one time sale and then the customer doesn't need you anymore. I would look into a business where you can earn the customer's trust and get repeat business.

The Mortuary only gets your business once....

We are Rocky Mountain power as well, when the solar guys come knocking and I do the math the ROI is infinite when I multiply cost x .04 (interest in a cd) I'm making money by not buying the panels.

Sadly, solar may not be optimum in I Da Ho.
Figure out how to work indoors somehow.
Yoga Classes. T-ball. Power plant operator.

There are quite a few folks that put their independence from power grids as a great ROI up here.
As a sales person for over 40 years I learned that my job isn’t being an arbitrator of what the decision of a customer is or what he / she wants.

After some thought...

Carpet/Furniture cleaning business might be a good place to start.

ALL things considered. 👍🏼
