When did you first go the Glamis?

1994 or so. Was a teenager, went with a friend from schools family. Instantly hooked
 
40 years ago. Rode my neighbors 110 and 185S. Was a different place then.
 
1974 my parents and friends had old VW and corvair buggies.. Have gone at least Once a year ever since. 50 years and counting

Edit: '87 and '88 with my buddy Josh and his family. I was in 6th grade.

Remember riding an ATC110 (maybe 125?) following them on their ATC250s and ATC450s into Mexico to buy shit loads of alcohol. Remember Comp Hill and driving there and back listening to K-Earth 101.

‘74 first time. I was born in ‘75 (thanks mom). Think I only missed one season around late teens. Next weekend will probably be my LAST… moving close to st. Anthony and will carry on the tradition there!!!
 
1992, coworker took me out, got hooked on the board after seeing the principles (first GD Owner) sign couple years after right past the cow farm, board was crazy way back then.
 
I was invited to join a friend to go to Gordon's for thanksgiving in '98. Didn't go back until I had my own shit a couple years laterG

The real question is when did you take YOU to G for the first time? Not when your parents/family went and drug you along. But, when you packed your own truck, with your own ride, with a cooler full of what it would take to to survive a weekend.

Me? Probably '00~01. Had my TRX250R in the bed of my '72 Chevy pick-up, 20 gallons of pre-mix fuel, handful of deli meat packets, loaf of bread, bottle of mustard, and a mountain of beer. LETS'S F**KIN' GO!!

Went on a couple trips with buddies in 2001. Bought a Banshee in 2002 and started rocking. I was 24, sure as hell wish I started earlier!
 
My first Glamis trip was 2011, and did annual trips most years after that until I hung it up in 2020.

I started duning in 1980 with Odyssey's on the Oregon dunes. Took a few years break until a friend invited me to the dunes in 1989 and I rode his 250r, and I was hooked. Duned every year until I hung it up, and miss it every day.
 
1989. A buddy took me. He was on a Suzuki 500 Quadzilla. He borrowed a friend's '88 Honda 250R Fourtrax for me to ride. I followed him around and had a pretty hard time keeping up even though I'm sure he was going slower than normal for me. We crested a hill and I found myself at the top of Oldsmobile and headed down at what felt like a high rate of speed. I about shat myself; first time on a quad.

Shortly thereafter I went to Fun Bike Center in San Diego and bought a new '89 Honda 250R Fourtrax. I was living in an apartment at the time, so didn't even have a place to store it. I kept it at my buddy's house.
