Help here?

Daughters '04 450 started leaking coolant last trip.   At a stop, we would notice leaking from bottom of case.  Never overheated or seemed to overheat.  Did drain the overflow.

Appeared to come right around impeller cover but buddy said it was coming from "piss hole".

We topped off radiator and kept running but something ain't right.

What's fix here?  Gasket?  Impeller shaft?

Yup. That weep hole allows any coolant that gets past the seal to exit out. Not a big job but its unknown if you just need a new seal/ o rings or the shaft to go with it. If it's not too much money, I would replace everything with genuine yamaha parts so you only have to take it apart once.

Weep hole is known to leak on the early model YFZs.  Usually just the gasket and that o-ring is all that is needed.

There an oil freeze plug that fails too in the head.  Quick cheap preventative. Really sucks when it fails out in the dunes
