My buddy just bought his 13 year old (she's 5'7") a HEAVY 570cc 4WD Can Am quad... I want to buy my 15 year old (she's like 5'2") a FUEL injected (EFI) (I will NEVER buy a carborated machine)... Does anyone make an EFI quad.. needs to be full sized .. but I don't want that heavy beast... Seems all 400cc-450cc quads are still carborated... UGH..

Lemme know if I'm missing a model.. any brand will do.

Ready to buy today. He bought a 570cc Renegade.. no suspension.. really.... and .... heavy AF... I just don't want this it's 628lbs.. Heck my Raptor 700R weighed only 422lbs.. UGH.. I'm just so dumb...

Thanks,

I found a 200cc Vitacci Pentora EFI.. only weighs 330lbs.. The girls just do the medium dunes in the washes.. if we go on a serious run, she'll ride/drive one of the RZRs...

The LTR450 was fuel injected back in 2007 I believe... they were forced to stop making them in 2011 I believe due to the EPA saying it didn't meet their standards.  I ripped around on one for a few years.  They can be had fairly reasonably priced even in this market...

Yamaha still makes the YFZ450 that is fuel injected and 404lbs wet.

Unfortunately not much else available new...

That's the bike!.. Thanks Josh-1974!...  OK.. $200 finders fee for someone who finds me one within 100 miles of Laguna Hills, CA. I want to buy one before my 12/28/21 Glamis trip. This will be PERFECT!

Thanks,

Awesome brah!.... Might be sending you that finders fee soon... Trying to buy one of these today.. wish I didn't sell my expensive aluminum quad ramps (to load in my dually bed),.. gave them away when I sold my 700R cause I said I wouldn't buy another quad... well the EFI is the ONLY reason I'd do this.

Stay tuned.. again thanks DTA!

I have an 08 ltr450r and an 09 yfz450r. You want an 08 or later as they fixed a shift fork problem (I think it was) in 08. I'll ask my daughter if she wants to sell it if you are still looking. Sand only, nerf bars, skats on Douglas wheels, Twist throttle (new in box), never used stock wheels tires.

09 Or better yfz450r efi and long travel stock, my son moved over to one at 14 and he had had a blast on it. Now he’s almost 17 and we just piped it and added a vortex fuel controller and it flat out rips.

2008 and later LTR450 if possible.  The trans had some upgrades as mentioned I think, also the stock suspension was softened somewhat.  Still a fairly hard riding quad, as it's really made for racing.  We have a 2008 LTR that started as mine and is ridden by my son now.  The thing flat out rips and we wouldn't trade it for anything else, except maybe a YFZ450R (gotta be the R).  The wide stance on these is great and they make great power with minimal bolt-ons.
