Any tips on where to get a sandrail appraisal for insurance in LA, Orange County area. Has to be on company letterhead.

It's usually what someone will give you for it. Peace

Second time my reply has been deleted. I'd be happy to help, if whatever Mod will allow it.

I gotta ask.. what insurance company are you trying to use? What car do you have? Pics?

I’m still struggling with insurance on my rail. Foremost its nothing over 50k and under 6000cc displacement with no power adders.

$50k max in California. Not all companies have the 6000cc or power adders ban. But I have heard Farmers is not writing new policies in California. Have to be grandfathered in.

Was going through a local Foremost agent at the end of last season, there was a lot of back and forth with questions and answers. Seemed like it was the first time they were doing it. It all came to a stop when I needed to get an appraisal. Car is a 2006 Quicksand Performance with a stock ls1 and a 2d. Sorry no pics at this time.

I’m assuming the car would have to be seen in person or would pic’s and info on components be acceptable?

But that has nothing to do with a stated value insurance policy which is what he is trying aquire.

The issue with sand cars is there is no KBB value so you end up with a stated value policy most of the time.

Pics are good enough.  Front, rear, side, interior, engine and trans.  Generally I email you a sample and you'll see what info is needed.

Moved from Commifornia to LHC.  Unfortunately I let my Foremost policy lapse and I just started to look for a new policy.

My old agent in CA said Foremost won't renew.  But now, I find here in AZ they will still write a policy.

Requirements I was told, was the 6 liter limit.  I was asked several times if turbo'd or supercharged.  I am not.  I told them 50k when they asked,  but i just picked this random number. So in addition to the assortment of required pictures they said:

"I will need a written appraisal on a company letterhead, showing the Vin#:, a current date, the verbiage “Current market value is"n appr

I haven't take any action yet.

I don't what the hell guys do with the Big Dog cars unless the can do with cubic dollars or thru a business.

sigh....

I say pick a number and insure that price. Peace
