I have a great enclosed hallmark race trailer. Dove tail rear, slide out generator storage, torsion axles, RV extended tongue and works OK for my needs.

I am kicking around the idea of having a new trailer made with more of the same but adding in a fuel station and the widest opening I can get. Has anyone had a trailer built recently and can share some prices and options you went with?

My wants are:
  • Drive over wheel wells.
  • Drop down work bench. Want room for extra quads or kids stuff as they grow
  • Winch
  • Generator slide out enclosure. Love mine now. keeps the noise out of camp and away from my bed in the bus.
  • Extended RV tongue for turning
  • 60+ gallon fuel station
  • No cables on the gate. Want the spring base mounted
  • How wide can I get the opening?
  • Lots of outdoor lighting and indoor lighting.

I just had a new trailer built. I went 106" wide overall which gives me 101.5" rear door opening. Has 80 gal fuel and no cables on rear door. You can easily get all the other stuff you want and more. I know others that have gone to as much as 110" overall. You just have to find a builder that will do it. Mine is Intech which is all aluminum, higher end build with excellent quality. Universal, King, Fractal and others will do it in steel.

If you decide to get a quote on Intech I'm happy to give you the dealer I used. He was best quote out of 3 I got quotes from. Two others on GD used him also. Intech is going to be more expensive though so be prepared. Mine was about 10% more than the steel guys quoted but well worth it in my opinion.
