Whats a good head sock for the sand?

To use under a helmet. Would like to filter the dust a bit. I've been using a multipurpose head/neck wrap and like it. Just doesn't stay in place sliding on a helmet.

Have you tried a helmet skirt and pumper? Works well, just a pita to put on and hook up

i use these alot, the only thing is find one that has a material you like. also thickness depending on the weather. i have a few i got at some of the stores on vendors. they work fine, they are not expensive so if you dont like one not that big of a loss. i have a bald head so i always wear one for the top of my head, just more comfortable with the helmet to me. colder times i wear the full face head sock, but i do notice my visor fogs up more with a sock on, i dont have a pumper system. i feel like the full head sock makes it much warmer. not fun on hotter days, but helps on cold night rides. my daughter wears the neck guarder ones up over her nose it seems to work well for her.

Big fan of balaclava over just the sock that smashes my nose or doesn't stay up. There are some quality formed ones and various thicknesses, weights - whole fam has several for snowboarding from Blackstrap and everyone really likes them. *edit - prefer the hood style that has the face mask sewn seperate at the sides, instead of one piece... it comes down to easily eat/drink/whatever while not squashing the rest of your head... you can run it fully below your chin on warmer days or whatever.

I've always liked Simpson Racing "Bandit" series, for a full face helmet keeping an "off road" style vs a regular full face.

We've always used the simple, cheap, thin ones that are sold on Vendor Row. They keep the dust off pretty good and are breathable.

Kinda like this, but thinner material.

I wear it up over my head so I don't sweat in my helmet, don't need to cover my mouth with the full face helmet.
When I was on a bike, I would run a normal head sock that covers the mouth and run MX style helmet/goggle.
