Why or when would you use undersized CV balls instead of the standard size?

undersized balls are like a race prep. give the CV more angle because of more clearance. you should still race prep by grinding down the star edges and can high polish to get the best life out of them. Why or when would you use undersized CV balls instead of the standard size?
and the witch eye you just cleared by 1"!Depends on the weather :classic_ninja:
Thank you @Bobalos a great CV is a GKN with the undersize balls, they are REM polished to be .002 under, I like Empi for the 934, but the 930 seem to be fragile, GKN is very solid on the CV star, Then can add a 4340M-300M cage to make it even stronger. My wife says they are about average. Im not sure how she knows that.
I got my last CV's from @J Alper & IIRC he put the smaller balls in them.
For a Factory GKN CV built for a Street Car, a Factory Joint is so tight it take a long bar to get them apart or to move them. Why or when would you use undersized CV balls instead of the standard size?
