When we had that good amount of rain a week ago, I went out and mobbed my Suburban in the local hills (have very open tread mudders on them)... well high centered it,.. wasn't wearing shoes with decent tread,... got out on a steep wet grassy hill, rolled my ankle and fell, stopping myself with my left hand.. HARD..
3 visits to the orthopedic and the good news is my giant swollen ankle is just a really bad sprain that will heal up on it's own, no fracture or surgery necessary.
Bad part is that I tore my tricep muscle tendon off the elbow on my left arm (thank god I'm right handed, can still play with myself).
So, in 2 weeks once I'm back from Kauai, surgery, it will have to be cut, stretched stapled and surgically re-attached. Total recovery is 6 months. I'll be a one armed, slow typing idiot for quite a while.
Anyhow, Saturday I'm on a plane. Pain isn't too bad. Just gonna chill.
That's all I have for today.

PS. I HATE opiods.. was on 2 5/500 Vicoden for 3 months 8 years ago when I pulverised my foot crashing the MX. Not looking forward to being on those. Every 4 hours, I'd have an alarm go off and have to dose. Everyone was so concerned I'd get addicted to them.. nope.. not one bit. As soon as I was in physical therapy and could handle level 4/5 pain, I was off immediately, .. I didn't even take over-the-counter pain meds. Guess like before I'll be watching a lot of Netflix, Peacock and Hulu (between passing out from the meds). I'm very fortunate to own my own business and work from home. I actually made more money during that injury years ago as I had nothing else to do. I'll just need family to help me box up parts (we ship 3-10 orders/week). Luckily I have my HS student (who will be driving soon), the bride and my son who is local to help with that. My life is incredible and I'm not having any kind of pity party. Shoot, I shouldn't even be alive all the crazy sh__ I've done (now 50 years old).
Maybe I'll throw up the MRI and document the journey like I did with my foot years ago before the site crashed.
