When we had that good amount of rain a week ago, I went out and mobbed my Suburban in the local hills (have very open tread mudders on them)... well high centered it,.. wasn't wearing shoes with decent tread,... got out on a steep wet grassy hill, rolled my ankle and fell, stopping myself with my left hand.. HARD..

3 visits to the orthopedic and the good news is my giant swollen ankle is just a really bad sprain that will heal up on it's own, no fracture or surgery necessary.

Bad part is that I tore my tricep muscle tendon off the elbow on my left arm (thank god I'm right handed, can still play with myself).

So, in 2 weeks once I'm back from Kauai, surgery, it will have to be cut, stretched stapled and surgically re-attached. Total recovery is 6 months. I'll be a one armed, slow typing idiot for quite a while.

Anyhow, Saturday I'm on a plane. Pain isn't too bad. Just gonna chill.

That's all I have for today.

PS. I HATE opiods.. was on 2 5/500 Vicoden for 3 months 8 years ago when I pulverised my foot crashing the MX. Not looking forward to being on those. Every 4 hours, I'd have an alarm go off and have to dose. Everyone was so concerned I'd get addicted to them.. nope.. not one bit. As soon as I was in physical therapy and could handle level 4/5 pain, I was off immediately, .. I didn't even take over-the-counter pain meds. Guess like before I'll be watching a lot of Netflix, Peacock and Hulu (between passing out from the meds). I'm very fortunate to own my own business and work from home. I actually made more money during that injury years ago as I had nothing else to do. I'll just need family to help me box up parts (we ship 3-10 orders/week). Luckily I have my HS student (who will be driving soon), the bride and my son who is local to help with that. My life is incredible and I'm not having any kind of pity party. Shoot, I shouldn't even be alive all the crazy sh__ I've done (now 50 years old).

Maybe I'll throw up the MRI and document the journey like I did with my foot years ago before the site crashed.

Was told by an oral surgeon that they didn't do narc's any longer. Said to use 800mg IB profilin and 2 extra strength Tylenols for pain. Amazed how well it works. This was a written instruction.

Have you met SQUIDLY LARUE? Peace

Sorry to hear about your accident.
Hopefully you’ll be able to enjoy next season and may even get to see a Speed UTV in the dunes.

Wow...that sucks... Hope you heal well... but tendon injuries are usually related to excessive steroid use... I can tell by the pix you need to roll it back some in the gym.....that poor horse is struggling....

Sorry you had the accident, rest the best you can and keep the positive attitude.

You'll be back in the saddle in no time.

I abused anabolic steroids in my late teens / early 20's and was HUGE for a guy who is 5'6" back then... Been on HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) since I was 38 (12 years ago) and I lift about 20-25% of what I used to be able to lift. Already have tendon issues, so I train 'light.'

All HRT does is make your hormones to a level like you were when you were 18 years old. Are they synthetic anabolic steroids? Yes, .. but the dosage (you get) is just to take your hormone levels back to your peak 'natural level' as a young adult.

50% of men do not experience a drop in natural testosterone even up into their 80's. The other 1/2 of us, lose a good amount every year starting in our 30's.

Without HRT, I'd have the hormone levels of a 13 year old girl. In the horse photo I wasn't training and not on HRT. Here's one where I was... a few years later.

If your libido and energy has dropped and you're over 35 years old, I strongly recommend having your testosterone checked and if low, getting on HRT.

Wow.... If they would have only known back then the issues it would create.  Know a bunch of baseball guys who ended up with tendon issues from the sport and from some the "supplements" they took.... are baseball players supposed to look like Aaron Judge???

Well I hope you heal well, and have a great vacation.... you can drive a razor with one arm.......

That's the problem with 'actual' juicing... your muscles grow faster than your tendons can handle.

... As far as the razor with one arm... eh... too much work, would be driving too slow.. having it all brought home after I'm back from my trip.

Thanks for the well wishes!

Peace out!

I did to, left hand driving, right hand shifting, but I’ll be in a cast/sling and it won’t be fun to get in, belt up or bang my repaired elbow against the cage.

Glamis will still be there.
