Off to a good start tons of low scores, lets see how it plays out :jeff:

Surprised at the low scores today. That rough is vicious. Keeping the ball in the short stuff will be absolutely critical to win it.

2 amazing rounds yesterday, both one shot off the course record (held by Max Homa as an amateur).  Hopefully the sun will come out and make the course play like a proper US Open . . .

The USGA has to be bummed they're waxing this course. Like the commercial says......These Guys are good! Peace

watching now Fowler WTF way to start you were born in North County San Diego, geterdone OLDtimer :jeff:

Course looks kinda rough....in like not as nice as the courses back east.....Hoping Ricky can pull it out... Isn't today the day the Rory and his big stupid mouth start to fade????????

Problem with the course is that due to the sun not coming out for the last 6 months, the course is playing soft and the rough (what there is of it) has not grown the way the USGA wants it. If it had been 70+ degrees over the last month,  we'd be seeing higher scores.

I want a SD guy but damn his first drive today crushed it

Happy for the winner. Seems like a good dude. His life totally changed these last two months. Peace

yep  ABR...... anybody but Rory.............  He seemed like he was genuinely happy.... good for him.

Course looked like poop........

Nice !   I don't know why anyone would say LACC (or any George Thomas course) looked like sh1t. Unless of course they've never been to one/ played one.  I'd give my left nut to play LACC, having already played Riviera, Palos Verdes GC , Ojai and both Griffith Park tracks.  I talked to a few people who went on Saturday and they said it was epic . . .
