Uploading Pics to GD?

Ok, don't laugh but everytime I try and upload pics to GD it rotates the pic from the original? 

I know folks on here have corrected it for me in the past but will never tell me what I'm doing wrong. 

Anyone care to advise?

It's never happened to me here but I know people have an issue for some reason

You can drag into the post instead of adding file.

if you post from a phone and take pics with your phone vertical it might cause the problem - try holding your phone horizontal when taking pics and see if that resolves the issue. I use a laptop when posting and never have had that problem fwiw
