So on 4/20/2022 a buddy of mine who likes 'crypto' and I were chatting. I told him, I'll roll the dice and buy $20k of twitter and write down the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum (from Coinbase,.. but I'm not buying a single nickel of Crypto.. EVER.. PONZI ALERT!!.. ... so I did. .. and put in a sell order this morning for whenever it hit $59.00 a share thinking Elon would have to bid up... . .. never made it to $59, cause he bought it at $54.20... but won I still  won the bet, cause Bitcoin and Ethereum would been a bad GAMBLE.. and that all that it was.. just gambling.. LOL..

.... made $3k in 3 days... which is peanuts in today's world.. I'm spending all of it ... immediately..

PS. I made this.. gonna frame it so I can rub it in his face.. I should re-print it every time Bitcoin and Ethereum are lower.. which they will .. be zero some day.. LOL

Put in an immediate sell at $59 so I could make $5k… I wanted a longer period with a $5k TWTR gain and big losses to the Crypto.. you know like $20,000 to $2,000.

whatever.. on to the next game🤩

OK, so I totally jumped the gun on this (post) as I didn't know/think Elon could back out. I never sold my Twitter shares, but when I re-make my little deal to rub in my friends face the delta will be much bigger as ETH and BTC are far lower than when I bought Twitter (and logged the price of ETH and BTC). I should be cleared out if Musk is truly completing the sale as announced today in the financial news. 

This wasn't scientific and I would have never  been long Twitter, so I was doing an absurd investment when you look at P&E ratios etc. My plan was to show that I'd lose less money buying some dumb tech stock as opposed to crypto. 

I just hate all crypto and think they're just Ponzi scheme / money transfers from early investors to later ones.

Anyhow, that's my story/opinion. The transaction doesn't prove anything really, just more of a rub in the face deal.

Crypto is great, I only lost 66% so far this year

401K lost 10%, but then again I am putting money into it every month, still can't keep it flat.

My CBD stocks lost almost everything.

But my savings account is up 25%.............. :classic_blink:   Wierd world

 
Yup, I just keep buying more of the S&P. Plan to dump another $250k-$500k 4th and 1st quarter of 2022/2023. Can't stay in cash with inflation at 15% (my opinion).

Family is why I stay in So. Cal.

my parents Newport and Rialto. My wife’s parents are in Laguna Woods and Torrance. .. my 4 kids are here. 16 year old lives with us, son is 5 miles away, daughter who works at Hoag lives in Huntington Beach and my oldest lives in Arrowhead.

I can run my business from anywhere. So I get crushed with CA taxes.

I’ve given up on the Montana dream. I’ll probably die in Laguna Hills,.. until 1/2 my kids move away and all/most the parents die.

No worries.. empty nester in 1 1/2 years. First trip Greece/Italy for 6 weeks. Lots of TH trips. Want to do 10 days in Utah with our SXSs.

Life is good!

Yeah.. I underestimate the weather pillow I’ve been accustomed too being on so cal my whole life.. I love Kauai and the desert.. snow / cold.. not so much.….
