Went through quite the transformation this off season. Sold the toy hauler, bought a Class C moho and a flatbed to "simplify" my setup and make it more comfortable for the lady and the new pup. Also did a ton to the car including rewiring it, new body, new dash, windshield, etc. Went out Thursday to Gordon's as we usually do for Holiday weekends now. Was very happy with how to moho towed and it was all in all a pleasurable experience other than flooding the bathroom at Red Earth due to the bathroom sink being on and the pump being on while filling, and the pup pissing on the new bed during the drive...

Went on a dune run on on Friday once the rest of the group got there. Did a decent rip over to Test hill, and headed back for lunch after. Jammed back out to the hill to meet some of the group and snapped a microstub at the top of the hill. Really frustrating because I put them on the bench and checked em out before the trip and they seemed solid. Called back to camp and of course all of us left our spares at home. A guy at the hill who was camped at Buttercup offered to meet someone at his camp to get me his spare. @Reece Pettersen went over and snagged it for me. When replaced it at the hill and got me back to camp. We had a friend headed out Friday night, so he met with another friends dad on the side of the freeway on the way out to get me spare parts. Unfortunately when those showed up they were the wrong size. 31 spline axle and 27 spline hub. So off to Yuma I went on Saturday morning to get one from ORBS. Unfortunatley they only had 1 left and it had 14mm studs. So headed back to camp and drilled out my adapters. Ripped a boot and the brake line in the process. So closed off the brakes with vice grips, and hose clapped a rag over the boot.

Didn't get wrapped up til Saturday afternoon. We went for a short cruise for sunset and had a blast just hangin in the dunes and driving the RC cars. The sand was really nice, but there was some wicked witches eyes that will cause some problems if you aren't paying attention. Packed it up early and hit the road Sunday morning. Somewhat frustrating to be wrenching on the car so much this weekend. But still a blast to be back in the sand with a great group. Will get the car fixed and back out asap.

Moral of the story, bring spares if you have microstubs...
