My wife and I love live music and lots of times we are seeing tribute bands cause they are local usually and the cost is pretty reasonable and usually they put on a great show.

Probably our favorite is an Oingo Boingo tribute, Deadman's Party...they are So good! One of Cheryl's friends...their son is in the band so that is cool too!

Cheryl is a HUGE Depeche Mode fan...so we see Strangelove. They are actually VERY good.

U2, there's a tribute band called Hollywood U2. So good Bono had heard of them, found out they were at one of their concerts and actually called the singer, Joey up on stage and gave him the mic and he sang one of the songs. Bono was like, Man you are good!

INXS, Mystified. We know a couple of band members so we will see them where ever. They recently went through a rebranding from INXSive and singer change. He's getting there, but the last one was Incredible.

Last weekend, we saw a Foo Fighters cover, Fooz Fighters. They were AWESOME, great energy and rocked. San Diego based so if you are down there and like the Foo Fighters, check these guys out.

Just this past weekend we saw a Beatles one, Ticket to Ride. Great cover...sounded awesome, great energy too.

Cheryl saw an Aerosmith cover called The Toy Dolls (All Girl) she said they were Awesome!

If you like 80's Hairband Glam rock and are in Vegas...go see Steel Panther! They ROCK!!!!!

Anyone here enjoy this type of stuff?

An 80’s cover band we saw was Tainted Love. Pretty good show!

Mac Sabbath, although they change the words up to center on fast food:

Was really impressed with Brit Floyd,

Saw Led Zepagain and was ok, would like to see Zepparella

Saw Dont Stop Believin, good Journey cover band

I guess some are ok (maybe even good). Went to an Eagles tribute once, after that I called them the Feagles (Fake Eagles) the lead singer bugged the hell out of me and they were just ok. Thought it was strange that people are making a living off of other peoples work. Cover a song here and there is ok but tribute bands aren't my thing.

Recently saw Lynrd Skynrd in Poconos and they were GREAT!!!! But some would say they are a tribute band as well since there are no original band members left.

Saw Zack Brown once and he covered a few too many songs, went there to listen to HIS music and he played other peoples.

Only tribute I have ever seen was Dead Mans Party.  Had a total blast.

First one I saw years ago while maybe not the best, was by far the best and most original...

Lately we saw a few, a Tom Petty one , a Guns & Roses one & Fan Halen all were great. They play the local Indian Casino, tickets are under $20. It makes for a great date night.

The first one was a Metallica one I saw while on vacation  in San Diego 20 some years ago. When they opened with The Four Horsemen the lead guitar player had long red hair. They were sounding pretty good when just as the vocals were set to come in the red headed lead guitar player started singing the lyrics to Mechanix. He got out about the first line or so when the rest of the band stopped. All just stared at him then from behind the drums you hear "Your Fired!"

Another guy walks out on stage and take the guitar from him and they start back up  from just before the words come in this time with the "James" character singing.

Turns out the Red headed guy was the soundman.

Thought as far as tribute acts go that was the most memorable one of all times.
