towing insurance, AAA, Good Sam.... or call a homie with a tow rope?

AAA RV, Good Sam or a buddy with a tow rope? What do you use? Keep your chit tight and pay the bill if you absolutely need it?

Its time to renew my AAA RV that i have never used (knock on wood).

I have had AAA and used it a couple times. It has probably paid for itself already.

I have AAA and its good for registrations, insurance etc. Havent had to use it to tow any of my daily drivers. I have used it 2 times to tow my Motorhome and at the end of the day my rig was towed and I was reimburresed however the call center people dont understand large diesel motorhomes when you make the call to be towed.

I have yet to change my policy but I have read their are better options for towing big stuff.

AAA is great for cars, not so great for motorhomes.
Good Sam is great for motorhomes, not so great for cars (actually they suck).
