Who’s using TMobile and thoughts on coverage?
Glamis? Overall?

They are sure promoting themselves, currently have Verizon and seems to work pretty good.
Thanks.

T-Mobile sucks in Glamis.

Also sucks outside of all cities between Denver and Glamis.
My experience has been the opposite in socal. The trick to blazing fast data speeds in a new area is to reboot the phone so it finds the faster 5G signal. We shouldn't have to do that, but it made a huge difference.

Verizon had and still has great coverage, but T-Mobile has made huge strides since their merger. Starlink has announced that they will be broadcasting the T-Mobile signal from their satellites in the future, giving users slow text msg coverage worldwide for emergency use.

Other carriers have similar deals with other satellite providers, but starlink is definitely going to be the largest constellation.

Well I can't say I've ever reset my phone on our trips to Glamis. I'll have to try that.

@squatcher says T mobile is the way to go on Gecko.

Was on pad 3 this past weekend and the dunes were empty so I can say without a doubt it wasn't bandwidth that was a problem, but my verizon was terrible.

To say reception was bad is a understatement.  Had trouble even making a call. Sending texts was a crapshoot. I cannot tell you how many times I dropped a call, I know it happened at least three times while trying to complete one call.

Last season I purchased a sim from t mobile and tried it in my phone as well as Verizon where it was a problem in the past and was worse everywhere I tried it

I have had T-Mobile for many years and love it. DON~~~
I have had T-Mobile for many years and hate it.

But....

I got on the 4 lines for $100 a month years ago and there's no way I'm ever giving that up plus 4 or 5 years ago they offered me a 5th line for free so now 5 lines for $100 a month.

It has gotten a lot better than when I started with them tho. Used to drop a call when you drove by a stop sign.

Wait, I just checked what I wrote down when talking to @Squatcher and he said AT&T is better out there.

Don't really want Starlink, but might have to do it.

I have tmobile on my phone and it works pretty good on Gecko.  I do have a cell phone booster.(directional antenna is a must for great service, otherwise hit or miss)  I put the card in my very very good cellular router and used it all the way up to Idaho and it worked for us great.  ATT in my router works amazing on Gecko. During Pres weekend and new years.  I was getting 50mbs down and we were streaming 3 shows at once.  Yes the carrier makes a big difference but the routers I sell are is the game changer.  I have always had internet in the dunes once I switch to this new router.  At $550 it is amazing.  Next week won't be a big weeekend but I am testing out my Tmobile in the router to see if it is close to ATT.  I will have my ATT card with me as well. I will be on Gecko more than likey on pad 2.5

Verizon is bad in that area because it cant see the tower at the beach store, and it cant see the tower out near the Highline Canal. If you get a signal booster on a 9 foot monopole for your RV, it will work great... Reception wise. You will still have slow speed when the circus is in town.

My plan this year is to use my starlink for wifi calling, and then base internet. I've used it on a few trips this summer and its hands down worth it if you "need" internet. The wifi calling can be trickier, but still works most of the time.
