What are your thoughts on or experiences with 2 seat Sand Limo frames or cars? Are they better, worse, or comparable to brand X? Thanks

Sand Limo always appeared to be well built cars and do not recall hearing people complain about them. Joe has been a big part of the Glamis / Sand community for years now.

We had 2 in our group.  Both great cars.  Imo best riding sand car I've ridden in.  Mind you I've only ridden in 5 or 6 buggies.

Sorry, to be clear they were both 4/5 seat cars.  And both monsters.

As good as or better than a Tech 3 with the same engine/transaxle?

@matt86m had a 2 seater with a subi....and a 4 seater big V8 Car......Joe is a great guy and stands behind his work/ Maybe Matt can chime in !!!!

:poule:

I had a 4 seater and have kicked my behind a lot for getting rid of it. Joe builds a good car.  My last car was a 2 seat Tech 3 it was a well built car but if I had it to do over I would of held out for another limo

Just my .02

Thanks. Appreciate the first hand comparison.

I had one for a few years, a squirt+ with a 3.5 honda and a 2d. That car was an absolute blast. Beat the hell out of it, ran 35x10.5 tires in the dirt. Never let me down. It was definitely a well built car.

Sand limos are awesome.

they dune with the best of them and rarely have issues. I have yet to meet someone who regretted owning a sand limo.

Ugh, I have 3 Sand Lemons in my group and have to admit they are pretty awesome.

But I have a SandTrix (Joes direct competitor, long story) and I will put my car up against a Lemon.  :)

Which model? Squirt? Limo? Cruiser? I've owned a Squirt and a Cruiser and have ridden in and drove every model Joe makes.

Know him and his cars pretty well. I was his counter guy when he opened Glamis Fab.

Need more info on what you are looking at.

As far as SL vs Tech3, without seeing both cars I'd guess the SL is beefier. I've ridden in a couple T3's and liked both of my SL's better. Not a knock on T3, just preference.

Post up more details about the SL you are looking at, theres a chance I may know the car, Ill at least be able to tell you about the model.

It's a Squirt with a Honda v-6 and a 2D. Will post more info when I get it.

Thanks for the first hand experience.
