I am presently at Buttercup, waiting on my brother.in.law to come in from Long Beach.

I bought a Warrior yesterday, actually, picked it up, and got the OHV sticker too....$25.25 in Colorado.

I PAID $30 today for a non-resident CA sticker for the same ATV.

I know things cost more in CA, which is why I left.  But, shouldnt a NR sticker be cheaper cuz I am only gonna use a few times in a year...whereas a Resident sticker you'll use it all yearlong.   Is my logic flawed?

Seems there is a fee for everything now days. Plus, your Ca Non-Resident is only good until Dec 31st.

How long you at Buttercup? Going out next Thursday.

Non resident hunting licenses tend to be alot more than resident too.  And be careful. Last weekend between yuma and brock research center rd, saw 5 chp tax collectors. Didnt see another chp after there, and maybe havent seen another since. Its pretty clear they are targeting out of state drivers at the border right now

You best not be doing anything wrong on this area of I 8. EVER. Heavy patrol area and zero tolerance.

Tend? Non res is always more expensive! Javalina tag in Arizona: Resident - $25, Non res - $100

Out of state tuition for universities has been a thing forever . . . .

Ive always hated that, but if your following the "surf code" it makes sense.

The sad reality is this is a play on "support local". However, when your dealing with the Sand toy capital of the world, more then most will pay the extra fee because most other states dont have dunes. and if they do, chances are there not as good. Its supposed to promote recreation in your home state. same as hunting, its to deter out of towners from taking "natural resources" from the locals.

Since Ive moved out of CA I see extra BS charges. I avoid as much as possible but some you just cant... and everytime I pay it I remember the glorious yells of " NO KOOKS" coming from the water, lol.

Ive only hunted idaho montana and colorado out of state. Didn't want to over state from minimal exp

You may need to look into before buying a non resident tag.

If you live in a state that recognizes ca ohv tags and your state has ohv tags you do not need a non resident tag.

few years ago Utah started the non resident ohv tag no matter what. Az followed soon after. So if you are from a state who does not recognize ca registration or you are in a state that does not require an off road registration, tags, title etc then you need to buy the ca non resident tag.

Didn't mean to sound off like a d!ck!
No you didnt, maybe im instagram trained. But honestly i was pretty sure its the same everywhere just didnt wanna commit. I pie’d out thanks for calling me on it 😂

Richard....I am home.  I left on Saturday.  My riding partner sent me a video of the Sunday blow.  There won't be a track out there when the wind stops.  There also might not be any transmission or other poles.
