Myth vs Fact.

Myth vs. Fact: The One Big Beautiful Bill
While Senate Democrats are running last-minute scare campaigns trying to block President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill, the truth is crystal clear. This bill is historic middle- and working-class tax relief. A vote against it is a vote for the largest tax hike in American history. No spin, no scare tactics, just facts.
MYTH: This is just a tax break for billionaires.
FACT: It delivers the largest middle- and working-class tax cut in U.S. history, putting ten thousand dollars or more back into typical family budgets.

FACT: Expands child tax credits, childcare access, Opportunity Zones, and creates newborn savings accounts.

MYTH: It increases the deficit.
FACT: Cuts the deficit by about two trillion dollars by growing the economy and cutting waste.
MYTH: The CBO says it will cost too much.
FACT: The CBO’s estimates are completely inaccurate. They have a long track record of failing to account for the economic growth that follows tax cuts, pro-growth policies, and regulatory reforms. They use static models that assume Americans will not change behavior when taxes are cut or regulations are lifted. Every time pro-growth policies are passed, the CBO has been wrong, underestimating tax revenue and overstating deficits. The truth is this bill will grow the economy, increase revenues, and lower the debt burden while putting more money back into working families’ pockets.
MYTH: It is full of pork.
FACT: Every provision is a campaign promise to the American people.
MYTH: It will not help national security.
FACT: Funds missile defense and modernizes the military.

FACT: Gives one hundred percent expensing for domestic factories and keeps jobs home.
MYTH: It ignores rural America.
FACT: Invests in rural communities and supports farm families.
MYTH: It guts SNAP and will cause hunger.
FACT: Strengthens SNAP while ensuring it serves those who truly need it.
MYTH: Republicans are shutting out Democrats.
FACT: Democrats left to protect higher taxes and open borders.
MYTH: We do not need a border package.
FACT: Secures the border, finishes the wall, hires more ICE agents, and stops fentanyl.
Now on the NFA situation. The One Big Beautiful Bill originally included removing suppressors and short-barreled rifles from the National Firearms Act. The Senate parliamentarian, with the backing of a few establishment Republicans, removed these provisions claiming reconciliation restrictions. President Trump and Senator Cruz are preparing a standalone NFA repeal bill to file immediately after OBBB passes. Senators are also pressuring leadership to overrule the parliamentarian or replace them if these Second Amendment protections continue to be blocked. Grassroots calls and pressure are building to restore these provisions before the final vote, and the fight to remove unconstitutional suppressor and SBR restrictions is not over.
Senate Update
The Senate just cleared a procedural vote, 51 to 49, to advance OBBB into debate, with GOP leaders aiming for a final vote as early as Monday, June 30, just before the July 4 deadline. The Senate version deviates from the House. It raises the debt ceiling by five trillion dollars versus the House’s four trillion. It includes stricter SNAP and Medicaid work rules. The SALT cap is reset to forty thousand dollars until 2029. The child tax credit is set at two thousand two hundred dollars versus the House’s two thousand five hundred. The CBO warns this version may raise the deficit by three point three trillion dollars and leave twelve million uninsured by 2034. Cracks in Republican unity are showing with Thillis, Paul, and Johnson all opposing the procedural vote. Democrats are stalling by forcing the entire nine hundred forty-page bill to be read into the record to slow momentum.
Bottom Line
The Senate moved past its first hurdle Sunday night. Now begins amendment debate and a tight final vote. With just fifty-three GOP seats, they can afford only three defections, and Thillis, Paul, and Johnson were the first three. That leaves zero margin for error. Expect a vote Monday or Tuesday, then a conference with the House before hitting Trump’s desk by July 4 if Republicans hold their line.
My Take
This is leadership in action. One massive, unified bill to secure the border, modernize defense, slash taxes for working families, and protect our freedoms. The opponents are using fear to delay democracy. It is time to call their bluff.
Call to Action
Now is the time to flood the phones. Call your senators and demand they pass the One Big Beautiful Bill without watering it down and without removing any Second Amendment provisions. Tell them to overrule the parliamentarian if necessary and to stand with President Trump. If you want lower taxes, a secure border, and your freedoms protected, now is the moment to act. Make the call, send the email, and let them know you will hold them accountable if they fail to deliver for the American people.
