Need to get my teenager registered in driver education for license. Anyone know of a good school to go to?
Located in central San Diego.

We asked around our friends and family and none of them had a solid recommendation.   So we just googled it and went with the ones with the highest ratings.  Our boys were 2 years apart from each other and had different instructors.

They both knew how to drive they did it because they had to.  The insurance discount was nice too....

neither were super happy with their instructors, mostly because they had the best dad in the whole world teach them how to drive.  But neither were unhappy, either.

I'm assuming its your daughter? Be careful passing her off to the instructor. You or your wife riding along would be ideal. Those situations are taylor made for a weirdo to use manipulation on your kid. I was sent to a company called drivetime. I didn't pick up on it at first but the instructor was a weirdo.  He suggested we swing by his place so he could open up his windows. I stayed in the car after he asked if I needed to use his bathroom and I declined. Thinking back on it, it could have been a very bad ending. Students want to be on their best behavior to make the instructor happy and a pedophile would gravitate to those situations.

Home - North County School (northcountyschoolofdriving.com)

This is who we used for our 16 year old. He has taken his first 2 hour session and really enjoyed it. The guy pretty much told him , if he took the drivers test now, he would pass. They do 3 ea. 2 hour sessions for $465.  The other school I looked at charged $600 for the same thing. These guys even said to wait on the last session till the week before there test, and they would go over everything they needed for the test so it was fresh in there heads.

Our son used AAA. We would drop him off and pick him up afterwards. We are members but I don’t remember what it cost.

Wife had something similar back in the day. She did the same….

Way back when I had to do it, for insurance discount, the instructor told me to go wherever I wanted and he slept.
