in the course of building my turbo EFI engine, I have decided I am going use an AIM dash and PDM, my center console has 7 switches a tac and a oil pressure gauge, none of which I'll need anymore.  any ideas on where to find a console without all the holes in it.  really, I just need something to mount a shifter boot and I'd like to mount my dash on it and master kill switch and an ignition key

How about some pictures?  I could see in my buggy a carbon panel mounted might look good.  Not sure about yours....  what doesn't get prettied up with quality carbon fiber?  LOL.  it's like diamonds for men.

I’ll post some photos in the morning.  I’m thinking I’d like to pay someone to weld up the holes in it and cutout for my keypad.  It’s aluminum and fits in the car already.

If I could find a replacement for this console, or weld it up, I could mount my keypad where the gauges are

How about you make a piece of textured Kydex plastic that covers where your gauges are and then mount your keypad into that.  It looks nice, and is easy to work with.
I wear kydex every day but I’ve never worked with it.   Do you form it with a heat gun?

I was thinking a flat piece cut to fit the face where the gauges are just out to where the radius starts.  If you need to bend it you can heat it with a heat gun or in the oven.  I have a buddy that has made various parts for his competition shooting rig with a heat gun and just using an oven.  It would be a trapezoidal in shape looking at your console.  I did one for my new car to car radio as it did not fin in the old hole.  Looks clean, and it was really easy to work with.  If you are in Phoenix, I probably have a piece you could have that was extra from my project.
