if someone puts up a for sale add that shows some number of "original miles", how many "unoriginal miles" could it have, and what exactly makes up an "unoriginal mile"?

just trying to learn.......

Probably a carry over from the days when an odometer only went to 99,999 miles.

My 'human' odemeter is well over 400k miles.... past its last oil change... crashed and burned but the motor still runs good...

I have noticed on other forums that sellers are only listing the miles that they have driven the vehicle, which is significantly less than the total miles it has been driven by all the owners.

If your speedometer brakes and you replace it from a junk yard you have to list it on the title. DON~~~

Fords have original miles.
Chevys have unoriginal miles.
