snap on yellow lenses

I see a few lights that offer the snap on amber lenses. I think they are great for protecting the glass but do they do a good job when needed following during night rides? Obviously dont need my full light bar turned on when following cause of all the dust. Also anyone know who makes light bar covers (again to protect glass when not in use)
 
yellow or amber lens are a must when following at night! FYI, the lens covers do reduce the light output, if you can replace the light lens its better.
 
I have the amber covers on my Baja Designs. They work but as Mega stated having the actual amber lens is better.
 
I have an amber snap on cover for my Baja ONYX 6 light bar. I does change the light to amber and it is better at night. They also make an amber replacement lens that I should buy.
 
guys in my group use the amber snap-on lens on their KC lights but not on all of them, they said it does help. i have a 13" light bar in the bottom of the grill on on my rzr that i put an amber stick-on film over that works well. im always in the back of my group, my overhead light bar is basically useless. i plan on adding more amber lights to the front of the rzr. i have never used an amber overhead light, i could be wrong here but in alot of my reading i have seen that the amber lights should be below your sight line, not above.

How’s the snap-on lense work? You just get multiple 10” sections for larger bars?

The snap on lens works good. It has never come off on it’s own. There has to be some light loss as compared the same light with an amber lens but I have no way of measuring it. I assume multiple snap on section would work if you had the longer light bars, but I just have the one lightbar.
