I use the old school safety razor.  single blade and a few pennies each.  that razor takes down a 3 day stubble in a matter of seconds.  Those damm new razor clog up if I miss a day of shaving.

3 step process for me.

Knock it back with an electric beard trimmer-no guard, then the cheapo single blade safety razor, after that a nice 4 blade gillete.

I only shave once a week too. :biggrin:

I HATE shaving more than anything but...I HATE a rough face more.  I have been obsessed with finding/creating the best shave for years.  I am now in a position to just say f*ck it and get laser done on my face to be done with it once and for all.

I use electric shears to knock it down to a 5:00 shadow, that's the best it gets..

I'd say about 90% against the grain.

I hate shaving but I have scruff.  I shave about every 3-4 days.  Depending on work or social events.

I've tried beards and goatee's over my lifetime.  I cannot stand it after about 4 weeks.  As I type this, my 3 days of growth is bothersome.

Electric trimmer, razors only make their way of for special occasions, maybe 3 times a year.

I trim with an electric razor. Then I shave my neck. Same sequence for downstairs!

i shave with it, then against it.  i also shave my head but i use a pitbull electric for that.  if i feel like getting the super close skull shave ill hit it with the pitbull then the razor.  eventually when i finish with my current job i will stop shaving my face.  beardo's look better anyways.  

i use the good old fashioned safety razor.  it works better, and is far cheaper.  for shave soap i use a brand that is a small family owned made in us company.  excellent soaps, and i hate shaving, so i want to try and make it as pleasant as i can.
