My buddies step-brother did that back in 2002ish.  711 on Jamacha/Chase.  He was pretty Challenged.

She pulled into Vons and then took it out and threw it over the block wall  back into the gas station

You cant make this stuff up!!!

I guess she wasn't thinking about the cameras in just about every gas station.  :joint2:

I worked at a Chevron, it happens more then you know. People steal them too.

This happens fairly often. This is why they now are required to have breakaway connections that shut off. Of course, this doesn't happen up here in Oregon as we are not allowed to pump our own gas.

Wonder what happens to the fine if/when they prove she tossed it over the wall and left.

So my buddy did this is Kingman in July. We had just got done playing 6 softball games Saturday night/Sunday morning until 6am in St george.  Went back to the condo and slept a couple hours. On his way home he stopped with the family to get gas and food. Forgot to put the handle back. Drove 15' and popped it off. Went back in and gave all his info.  He still hasn't seen a bill.  He will never live that down...

when i was with albertsons we had the first gas station in the company, and it happened all the dang time. problem was it had to be reinstalled by a certified tech and they had to leave a copy of the repair order so the state corp commission could verify it was plugged in right lol.

was very costly to plug it back in

2nd date with my wife i was so nervous I drove away from an AM/PM and did this...I was surprised how easy it broke away.  Worse part is instead of laughing at myself I just tried to be "cool" and play it off...what a douche

I did it at an AM/PM as well. They have break away fittings on them so it doesn't damage the pump. It was around '94 when I lived in Victimville for a few years. The dude told me to just take off he would handle it. I got coffee and smokes every morning there so he was cool.

Mobil station next to my house has 1-5 pumps broken from this on an average week. I don’t get it, at least what I don’t get is why I haven’t seen it go down.

Costs me about $1100 each time this happens at one of my stations.  And it happens often!  9 out of 10 times, customer stops.  We gather their insurance info if they don't want mt to swipe their card for $1200.00.  :ez:
