Has anyone had experience with a sandcar out there? Everything I find online is related to sxs, bikes, quads.
My wife and I are planning on going in a couple weeks with a group. Bringing both sets of tires for the rail. Beyond that, it'll be a "figure it out when we get there" kind of thing.

I'll be there from Nov 3-8th for the 1st time to, but with a SxS. All the video's I've watched a rail would be fun but it's not large enough and lots of hard pack for paddles.

Not a place you want to run paddle tires unless you don't care about them. The entrance to the riding are is a tunnel and then immediately a sand and rock climb onto the sand. Then in the sand you have rocks that stick out and large flat areas of rock you have to drive over. Once you make it to the sand area there are about 3 dunes you can rip around then back into two track rocky trails.

Looks like a fun place for quads. (y)
Its definitely a place to explore and have fun. Lots of serious rock crawling then there is lots of trails that drop down into Werner Valley where you can see dinosaur tracks in the rocks. Then you can drive to the other side of town and hit Rattle Snake canyon and Torquer Ville falls. Great camping sites with full hook ups and also some dry camping areas too.

Much appreciated. I'll keep the dirt tires on. Going with a group of SXS so the kinetic rope may be getting some exercise but it should be a good weekend regardless.

Keep an eye on tire pressure, may want to air down a taste…

Too hard on a sand car, especially if you have a 2d, and need to back out.

I have gone a few times with a sand car. its not bad as long as your paying attention. the trail from the beach to the dunes is pretty long, and some spots super fun, but everytime I got back to camp I would use more fuel then expected. Your extremely limited to where you can go with paddles, I ran them and didnt have a problem -as long as you stick to the main trail. after a couple days, it starts to feel mundane. But as I say after each trip "sand hollow does not suck"

The trip was awesome! Highly recommend. I left the paddles at home and the dirt tires did better than expected in the dunes. The scenery is just jaw-dropping. We ended up on some pretty gnarly trails but we were in too deep to turn around, not ideal, but can check it off the list.
I was afraid the constant sharp bumps would piss off my daughter, but from the rocks to the dunes, she loved it.
