Over Vet's and TDay weeks we must have used a lot of propane cause I ran out last Friday. My neighbor @dontechenloaned me his buddies adapter/hose so I could gravity feed my 5 gallon tank into my RV 38 gallon tank. It worked great and the fridge amd water heater had enough to get us through today.

Googling RV tank adapter, full hose, connections but haven't fluid what I need yet. Figured someone on here knows exactly what to get in case we have this issue again.

This is the set Don had and I used. Want to buy something exactly like it. Or build one if I have to.

They are usually called "Extend a stay" kits.
Tried that too and it's a T that plumbs into the existing RV plumbing. I do have a T already but it's a male JIC (flared) fitting. Almost had the right parts in a few different shops in Brawley but couldn't find the size for my RV.

Pretty easy to do with a pipe tee, a AN 4 male fitting and a propane tank connector connected to a piece of AN #4 hose and a female AN #4 fitting.

Just turn off the main tank and turn on the temporary small tank. Easy to go back just turn off the temporary tank and turn on the main tank.

I don't know if with both tanks turned on if propane will flow into the main tank from the temporary, but this is how I use a temporary tank before the main tank runs out of fuel. Kind of looks like the same setup Don had cobbled together just with stuff I already had.

This is what I have and use.  You can also cut and splice lines or go down to any hose place and have them make you something if you have the ends.

looking at that, it honestly looks like he made it himself... RV parts store and or Home Depot

Why not just ask Don your neighbor, where Chuck, the guy he borrowed that from, got it?
Yeah, that would be the easy way and possibly get me the information I need.  Then I never would have needed to post this thread and see a useless reply like yours.  Or, I just post asking if someone knows what I need, other people engage with what they have, like @Doc did, another board member sees the post and thinks it would be a good thing to have in case they run out of propane, or wnt to have an auxillary tank hook up.

I got mine from rv trailer supply on broadway in el cajon

Had this happen last trip for us. Everyone offered 5 gallon tanks but could not connect. had to pack up and go to glamis dunes storage to get 3 gallons. I would like to get a kit as well. lol

Wow! Someone must've pissed in your Cheerios huh? Was just tossing an idea out there, didn't know it would ruffle your feathers guy. Happy Holidays to you!

38 gallons in a week, that is a lot of propane unless you are running gas fire pits.  38 gallons lasts me over 20 days, moho with family of 5 and I never turn off the water heater.

Pretty sure I filled it after last season on the way home. Not sure. Used the coach a couppe times during the summer so it.might not have been a full 38 gallons. And we've been using it for 30 days this season so far.
