I have a 2023 Genesis supreme Vortex with twin 80 gallon tanks over the axles. They put short 3/4" PVC ballvalves on bottom pointing down. Its a pita to reach down and under the trailer to open the valves and let the water drain after every trip.

My old WW had both tanks piped together with a single 2" waste style valve easily reached under the steps.

My concern is hanging anything heavy or extending the piping and putting stress on the spin on weld.

I found some 12v solenoid valves but the inside diameter is 3/8" and they would take forever to drain, which i guess i could turn on and drain.

How are your trailers fresh water drain valves piped and have you had any issues?

You can get N/C 3/4" diapharm valves that will open and allow graity to do its thing, but the valve is heavy and will bnned to be supported.

Dude, mine is a tiny plastic 1/4 turn ball valve. It is hard as hell to turn and I have to squeeze my arm between two of the three tires to access it. I'm like armpit deep into the tires to barely reach it. The time to drain doesn't bother me, as I don't sit there and wait for it. I just wish it was easier to get to. I guess I could add a 90 and run it horizontal along the bottom of the trailer towards the outside.

mine looks like the gray tank valve but smaller, and you pull each one between the tires,
i can send a pic if you want one,

yeah, maybe ill find some flexible hose that i can connect to the valves then tee them together and have one valve on the end easily accessible.

You have twin tanks, So you have to have a transfer pipe. Cut in a "T into that transfer pipe and place a gate valve like they have on WW. Might take a little to get the valve to where you want it and it might not be the lowest spot, but it is dam close

The transfer hose is damn near at the top of the tanks, it would not work.

I've got the same setup, and it SUCKS!
Need to come up with a plan as well.

A little off subject, why are you dumping the water why not keep it?
My trailer always has water in it, I top it off before a trip, but never drain it. Water has never smelled bad, of course we dont drink it.

This is what I have done for 20 years, I have never herd of this until reading this thread. Explains all the water on wash Rd. flinging up mud and F-ing up my chrome LOL

I my case: Why drive 160 miles up 4,000' with 500+ lbs extra weight?
New to toy haulers but in 2 years we've never come close to using all our water.
It's water. Not beer or gold. Why haul it?

I did this ONCE then never again! it made a mess of my trailer. I actually haul the extra water home and irrigate the gravel under my RV pad at home with it.

same here, never use all of ours. I use a digital water meter when i fill up at home. 60 gallons for just me on a 4 day trip and double it if the wife comes along.

Are the valve handles facing out so you could fab a tool to reach in without crawling under the trailer?

no, forward and backwards. Also the 3/4" sch40 PVC ball valves are very tight and you have to be careful not to put too much stress on the drop from the tank.

I never dump mine and cannot tell a single difference in weight or mpg hauling a few extra hundred lbs of water. I just make sure I’m not drinking it

you might need to use the shitter on the way home.

First time I ever used the pooper was halfway through Ocotillo. Real emergency! Still had enough in the lines to flush.
But good point
