We have had issues with our door locks from Day one. trailer is a 2016

We tried adjusting plates, new striker plates, then just ended up opening the latch every time we shut the door, trying to slam the door just made it worse,

Freind of ours purchased a new trailer, with a Bauer door latch, and the door shut with one finger, i was shocked.

I ended up purchasing two door locks (toy hauler with garage door) this was a 15 minute install,

What a difference, door shuts with one finger,

The old system was RVLock from 2015, if you push against the RVLock, any pressure would almost lock it up, so you had to pull the handle in, shut the door then release the handle, i dont, i was just afraid of doing the RVLock again.

The new Bauer is Bluetooth, works amazing, and the Bluetooth will work both doors at the same time, and you OS is super simple to use,

If the batteries go dead, how do you get in? Did not see anything on their website.

I put one of those RVLock keypad units on my previous Moho. Never could get it to work more than a few weeks. Replaced twice under warranty then I gave up and just used the key. POS

I could Never get the RVLock to work from day one, the slide would always jam up with any pressure against it, and the batteries went in vertical with no holder, so they would fly out when you would replace them,  I see all The Hi end toyHaulers using the Bauer products,  will keep everyone updated,

With no adjustment, the door shuts with one finger,

Shipped to me in a couple of days, and very easy to program,

I bought a brand new Moho earlier this year. In the same model coach that was a few years old I would see keyless entry as a standard feature. However, in my 2022 model it was not there and not even an option. I really wanted this feature so inquired with manufacturer and they would not do it. They said they quit offering it as they couldn’t find any of them that were reliable and they had continual warranty claims. I don’t know if this was the real issue or they just couldn’t get them due to supply chain issues. I haven’t decided yet if I’m going to install one like the Bauer.

How many others have Bauer keyless units and are they reliable?

The Keyless part never failed,

It was the slide that was always stiff from day one with the RVLock, The Keyless is part of the Dead-Bolt,

The ToyHauler and some Class C, use the same Lock and Latch as a Compartment doors, not the same as a motorhome, Motorhome use a Bear-Claw latch, the latch that we are talking about is most likely the same as your inclosed trailer door latch.

To make your Moho Keyless, it really should be its own topic, the Bearclaw latch is the same as automotive and will need a Automobile alarm keyless entry system with Keyfab style, after that is installed you can add a touchpad to the Relays for the door control, or you can get a door lock actuator, run 2 relays to a kepad Rv system,   If the RV has electric locks then you will just need a Keypad system.

Been looking for a keyless entry lock/pad for my Country Coach but no one list one for a 2000.

We have the RV lock on our 17 Genisis and it worked great for about a year and a half and then we had to replace the touch pad and then the buttons quit working it works great with the remote but as stated above we still have to slam the door

This Bauer, i can really shut the door with one finger, it is so smooth, not sure if it is good or bad, but the buttons are a hard plastic type, and are tochpad like a phone they do not move,

but i use my phone, the app shows up instant no delay on response time,

It has a proximity unlock/lock on the app that will auto lock, this also has a slide bar for range of use.

If you have a RVLock, change it out ASAP, you will be happy with the results,  super easy to change 6 screws,

Install note,  I feel when i got the screws tightened enough where they would not come loose, the door latch was not as smooth,   I used Blue locktite and went snug with the screw.  This made if feel smoother on the pin latch,

It does not show it in the picture, but this kit does come with a new striker plate for the door,

I put up with crappy RV locks for years. Literally spending hours "tuning" them with shims, filing, etc.  I will have to try this one out ...

I don't use keys, When the trailer is not being used it's in my backyard & when I go for a ride my Dog watches over the trailer. Haven't had a issue in 10 years . Take that back, My dog passed away and there was a 8 month period going dogless , Then Bruno was Born, Don't mess with Bruno

Just installed a RVlock in my toy hauler today, then I read this, SMH

I see they have the 4.0 how does the door shut, super smooth or does it hang up and have to use some force to shut it,

So far so good, one finger to shut , deadbolt is smooth. Maybe I got lucky !!
