A little update for you that aren't on the instagrams...
Current view of the shop that will house Ritchie Performance Gearbox and UTVGears.com.
Still a few weeks of work to get up and running and ready to take in jobs. Electrical is just about finished, got new lights hung and wired up today. Need to epoxy the floors, move machinery in place next week and build workbenches. Realistically I am still about 2 weeks out from being ready to hang transmissions on the bench.
I originally had signed a contract for another shop in November that would have been a bit nicer to start with, but was still under construction as of the first of the year and was not going to get finished up until March at best.
I had Stacy (Dave's wife) brokering the deal and asked her if she could find me something else that I could move into immediately. She jumped on it and found me a few places to look at and we found this spot that was pretty beat up, but the price was less than half what the other place would cost me. I signed on this place 2 days later and got started moving stuff in that week. The bummer about the deal is that Stacy lost out on the broker money when I switched to this place, which I feel bad about and have plans to make it up to her soon.
Hoping to start taking pictures of housings and gears sprawled out on the bench soon.
