RIP so sorry.   Let this be a reminder that everyone should know the basics of cpr.  You might be the only one to save a life of a loved one or family or total stranger.

i've had 3 people I know have had them within the last year, oldest at 52. makes me worry,

THIS ^^^^^^

My buddy was playing basketball with co-workers about 5 years ago after work on Monday night...and just like that...dropped to the ground! DONE!

2 of the guys he was with ran over...one started Chest compressions (most important) the other called 911!

Luckily there was a cop around the corner with a deliberator and shocked him back.

Ambulance showed up...they had to shock him 2 more times by the time they got him to the hospital!

Normally that would mean he's pretty much done...He had the Widow Maker...worst kind of heart attack you can have!

He pulled through...we go mountain biking almost every week, he looks great, but man that WAS SCARY A-F!!!!!

What is really crazy is we were all in Gorman that weekend off-roading. Had that happened when we were out there, there is no way he'd be with us today.

Thank GOD he was where he was...and with the people he was with.

After seeing him in the hospital, I signed up for CPR class!

We lost @rampster in January year. 54 yrs old.  Same scenario.

Had breakfast, went outside of camper and suddenly collapsed and died.  30+ people including his son and grandkids watched as we tried to revive him.   no luck.  :classic_sad:

Way too many young men just dying.

The majority of first time heart attacks are fatal.  Just saying..

Another good reason to have an annual physical, may help detect issues before this happens like high blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

Sorry for your loss. All way too young!

Curious if they all got the jab?
one did, one didnt was dead set against it they both lived however wish they probably didn't. other one didn't make it

actually 4, and yes she was jabbed also.

Sad deal. Imagine his fitness when riding.  One of the most physically demanding sports there is. I am 30 days away from 3 years after my heart attack. Two surgeries and 4 stents. Last week I was on the treadmill at my heart docs with dye in the blood and the gamma for them to see the blood flow. They call it a Nuclear test. She whooped my ass on that treadmill. 13 minutes and my heartrate was 155. That is up there being on the medicine Metroprolol. (One little pill per day keeps the heart rate lower. My resting is mid 50s)  One nurse said she has not seen a guy at 60 go that long. I was sore for two days. lol. And I work out every other day for 55 minutes. I was always pretty healthy in eating but nothing like now. That is the one thing I wish I did better at starting 20-30 years ago. The American diet is so awefully poor. Way to much salt, sugars, and processed foods. Always bombarded with it. It is extremely tough to eat lean, tons of veggies and stay under 2000 mg salt per day. Really sucks sometimes but I like how much better I feel and the energy level. Anyway lower portion of my heart is pumping below normal and nothing they can do. That is in the area of the stents. Just keep on truckin along.
