Anyone on here send their suspension seats out to be reupholstered? Specifically going to an upholstery guy and not the OG maker of the seats for new covers. I have an older set of beard seats (can't contact Beard) that have seen some better days and I am trying to avoid having to order new custom seats from PRP that are tabbed for my car's chassis. Curious to see how the process went, how they are holding up now and the price tag.

I got a quote for $2k from a local guy. That was for (2) front buckets and a rear bench. New covers and foam. Nearly the same price as new custom PRP premiers but, supposably better materials.

I'm located in SoCal (Menifee and work in San Diego) so any shop recommendations around those areas would be greatly appreciated.

Martinez marine upholstery does amazing work, not sure if the do seats of your type. Located in lake Elsinore

I have a used set of Beard seat covers (grey vinyl) in decent condition for $200.

I used a local place I found.
Same price as you.
Material is good.
Didn’t use as much foam as I told him to use.
I got them 1 week before dune season so I wasn’t willing to make a deal about it.

I called Neri and spoke with Mario. Super cool guy and reasonably priced. $1600 for new foam, address any structural issues and new covers/removable head rests. The new covers would include standard stitching design, black carbon fiber vinyl (standard material), new string, added mesh section to get rid of sand and a 5th point slot). I'll probably be going with Neri. Once I pulled the trigger and get them done I will share the outcome. Appreciate the suggestions!🤙

They can update your seats to the more modern style without the adjustable headrest. That’s what they did to mine

That's what he mentioned to me over the phone. Thinking about doing it if the budget allows. Pretty cool that he is able to make older suspensions seats badass. He texted me a bunch of photos of his work. Pretty damn cool.
