Awesome. Thank you for sharing this. Merlin was the engine guy on the Vegas rat rod show. Been re watching that since I am building sort of a rat rod.

i was watching their videos and missed this one, its amazing that motor sat under water all those years, and ran with help.

hell i bought a boat that was in our storage since 83 and hell the fiberglass tanks were bad from the gas. 

i figured the water would have dome some major fiberglass damage over the years.

 
Paul mentioned in a prior video that they were going to give the boat back to the owners, the fella and his wife were pretty emotional/shook up, I wonder if they're gonna take it? I can't wait for the next episode, Fab Rats is a great show

 
If you watch the whole series you will see what it took to get it running, some of the motor parts were eaten away. What saved the engine block was the oil trapped inside. It wasn't as easy as it looked in that video, a lot of parts were replaced. DON~~~

They weren't using the original fuel tanks, they had a small tank just to get it running. DON~~~

i figured so, just saying if the fuel tanks didn't hold up, how did that motor last all those years under water lol. i cant keep them running on top of the water, much less under the water. great story

 
Been watching Merlin's Cummins boat build for awhile.  Pretty cool to see Fab Rats get him involved.  Cool story.  Watched the reveal yesterday.

I think Matt was out scouting for it on one of the last video's .  I want to think it will be in the Sand Hollow/ Hurricane area though not over in the Moab area where TowMatr is from.
