How can one register their RV in AZ while living in Ca? I know some others have done this already. Would love some info.

South Dakota. Things have changed a bit there the last 2 years as well.ND or sd....I don't remember which.
You can go w.a POB
Auto insurance is more expensive in AZ as well.Check insurance rates first. Mine tripled when I registered it in AZ from Cali....
There is a law office in Missoula that handles all this. Yes they setup an LLCI thought most guys registered in Montana through an LLC?
RD
I live in az and my coach is registered in ca for half the price.
I know a guy who has everything from his golf cart to his Harley from his wife's car to his Pusher all registered under his Montana LLC.Ain't nothin cheaper in Az anymore. The Montanna LLC thing sounds like a good option, until the state you actually live in finds out. I don't personally know anyone who does this or has been caught with Montana plates, but I hear the fines are making it too risky for a lot of people. IRV2.com is a good place to start the search.
Is that really hard?Just remember if the CHP and DMV is on you, the burden is on YOU to prove it really stays in Montana......good luck with that.
It's not just "I keep it there". You have to be able to show it stays there. Which is really hard when it doesn't. The burden is no longer on them to prove it stays here, but you to prove it stays there. Just like people who say they live out of state. Is that really hard?
I understand what you're saying but what triggers the encounter to begin with? I'm a fulltime RVer and so far I've spent time in 20 states with VA plates. There has never been an encounter where somebody mentioned why I have out of state plates. Of all the RV groups I'm part of, nobody has ever mentioned an encounter related to their out of state plates (and most of us are registered in SD, TX, or FL). RVs travel. It's not just "I keep it there". You have to be able to show it stays there. Which is really hard when it doesn't. The burden is no longer on them to prove it stays here, but you to prove it stays there. Just like people who say they live out of state.
